Title: Power Steering Gear Box
Post by: jdv69z on May 29, 2018, 06:28:02 PM
OK, so my power steering gear box in my 69z is approaching it's 50th year of service. How can I determine if it needs to be re-built? It functions fine, but it seems like there is lots of "float" when steering. I know these units were like that even when new, but I'm wondering if I don't have excessive amount at this point? Car has 102K on it just for reference. Who is the master restorer of these units if it needs help?

Try Lares - they seem to have a good reputation. Look for feedback -
