Title: Is it legit? 124677L126103
Post by: 67CruiseMaster on May 24, 2018, 01:35:52 AM
OK so I ran across another 67 Camaro in vegas.

Ive already decoded all the small stuff. But I want to know if the body sequence matches the Vin. Can someone chime in to tell me if it in line with both tags?

This car that I posted here, does have the 12 bolt rear with traction bar. I'm not sure if its a true SS. With a power glide I would tend to think so. Since L30 4 speed cars came with the traction bar. Is this a safe assumption? All SS cars came with traction bars. I know there was a start up date for that. But I am thinking that this car here would not have been a L30 car. Its a true SS. Everything else on the car matches. I mean the cowl hidden vin and all. This car does have A/C, tilt wheel and drum brakes too.

Loose tags, that’s not a good thing.

Cowl stamp looks good. I know that loose tags are never good for any car. But does the vin and trim sequence correct?

I will check later. For now, seems ok.

trim tag date and VIN sequence are OK. Did you check the other hidden VIN by the heater core?

12 bolt codes line up with the 12A date? Any motor or trans?

Loose tags are always questioned, is it a very rusty convertible that needed the tags removed to properly restore?

That's the prob. Car is not rusty at all. Not sure why they removed them.

Who knows why people take these things off outside of the obvious intents.
You can get the correct style rivets on eBay especially the rosette style for the VIN tag that mounts in the door jamb.

From what I can see, tags look OK.
