Title: what is the best 4" cowl hood for 68 pro street
Post by: dabears5435 on May 18, 2018, 06:11:23 PM
Good afternoon everyone!  I am a rookie here and am looking for some advice from you experts on a question.  I really appreciate any support and advice you can offer.

I have a 1968 pro street Camaro and the 2" cowl just isn't cutting it as far as looks and with clearance as well.

So my question is what is the best 4" fiberglass hood out there and what hardware to you recommend as well as far as hinges?  the one there now has hinges and i have no latch but do use two hood pins at the front.

Any help would be huge, thank you!

Hi da. I think most guys here are into stock parts but I see the glass hoods in most catalogs. Can,t help you with the hardware.

VFN fiberglass & either a modern billet style hinge or a stock one with a weak spring and a hood prop.  I like the Sunoco hood myself.
