Title: Information on a 1967 302 motor.
Post by: Emo1956 on March 26, 2018, 09:23:49 PM
Hi Everyone I need help with finishing my 1967 302 motor so I can sell it. Did the 67 302 motors have any engine lift brackets ?Did the 67 have the bracket that the power brake hose went through. If anyone has any pics of a original 67 302 without a aircleaner on it would be greatly appreciated. Pics of original 1967 302 are almost impossible to find. Thank you every.

What is the VIN on the engine?  Would be nice to see if we can reunite it with the car it came from originally.

There is vin on the motor. The original was made into a race car back in the 1969 era. My father acquired the motor 1970. I just can't seem to find any good pics of 67 302 motors.

Sorry I must have been half asleep when I wrote that . The motor does not have a vin # on it. The build date is   VI220MO  What really upsets me is thinking about all the stuff I threw away. I had a big commercial building and part of it was my toy shop for all the stuff my Father left me. I sold the building in 05 and I threw away tons of alternators, starters, water pumps, exhaust manifolds distributors and flywheels. I can only imagine how many 837 alternators were in that pile . Oh Well !  My Father was a hoarder !!!

Dang. I know what you mean though. A lot of stuff got thrown out after people got tired of storing it. Years ago we threw out lots of heads, water pumps, etc.

I wouldn’t worry too much about making it look exactly correct. The next owner may or may not want it to look 100% correct.

There are are some known exceptions to that change. Outliers...

How did we change topics from a 67 302 to a 69?

Can you send me a pic on the stamped information on the pad of the block or have you posted it in another thread?
