Question regarding front fender lower valences. My '67 RS (LOS-11A) does not have a hole on the lower edge (100% sure its orig.) Every reproduction and from what I'm seeing of other orig. valences of which I have several (top pic) - all have the hole. I managed to find a very nice orig. pair at a meet last fall (bottom) with no hole. Is this a LOS/NOR variation or something else? As always - that's for the help.

Holes are needed if front spoiler is attached as these holes are for the rods holding bottom of spoiler.

Interesting considering spoilers were not an option for Camaros in 1967.

Interesting observation indeed! I just checked my 67 04B LOS with original sheet metal and the holes are there. My 05B NOR has the original extensions and they too have the hole. I checked a few 'spares' I collected over the decades and they also have the hole (I don't know what month cars they came from). I also see the hole is depicted in the 67 AIM 11-13/A7.
Maybe the no hole was an early design?

Original panel on the car. mysteries, mysteries.

Really not much different than the trunk lids being prepped for spoilers that were not offered.

Funny you replied that way. I thought of the same thing earlier today. My thinking is the non-hole extensions were an early design, sort of like the earlier first design trunk lid without the 'spoiler' holes.

Seems logical to me too.
