Title: Trick Flow ultralight 6 inch rods
Post by: westonz28 on March 03, 2018, 02:45:24 PM
I dropped a valve in my SBC 400 and bent a rod. Destroyed the Trick Flow twisted wedge aluminum heads. Not a good day. Looking for one or more 6 inch Trick Flow Ultralight full floater connecting rod. These were discontinued 17 years age so this is a long shot but it is a shame to have to replace all of them. If this is not the correct place for this please move it or delete it. Thank you.

Those are going to be tough to find. Good luck.

Depending on your setup, you might be better off with new and better rods.

What are you running for pistons and cam lift?

I WAS running a SBC 400 30 over with twisted wedge heads, ross racing flat top pistons, Trick flow rods, Eagle crankshaft and a Iskendarian 292 .505 lift cam. Now I am going to build a nice street engine with the parts that I can save from dead the engine. Make it 40 over just to clean up any problems from the dropped valve. Find a bare set of heads to transfer the stuff off the dead heads and get a more mild cam and mild pistons and put back together. I do not need a racing engine. The engine came with the Nova and it was 19 years old so I am not that sad that it died. It was very strong and the 1966 Nova does not need much to flat out scream. It has a Turbo 400 and a Dana 40 posi that are still going strong. I know it is a long shot to find some rods but maybe I can help someone if they need some or some come my way because of this post.

You might look on the racing junk site.
