Title: 69 Z-28 Survivor
Post by: FreddieB on February 19, 2018, 02:01:52 PM: My customer just purchased a 69 Z-28 that sat for 30+ years . before getting it to run I dropped the gas tank and found writing on top . Does anyone know what it means ? The fuel lines still had the original tags on them so I'm pretty sure its never been replaced .

Post by: Dusk Blue Z on February 19, 2018, 07:30:45 PM: Mine had similar writing in Red as well, but mine was all numbers. I think I found the 487 written on something else in the interior, but can't remember what off the top of my head.

Post by: ZLP955 on February 19, 2018, 07:30:57 PM: First came to mind was that Canadian-delivered cars got extra fuel. Then I figured there would be no sense noting that on top of the tank, couldn't be seen once installed so of no help to assembly line workers......

Post by: FreddieB on February 19, 2018, 07:40:34 PM: My customer just purchased it from the original family . The owner purchased it as a leftover in 1970 after he returned from Vietnam . So far all numbers match , It was stored for approximately 30 years both in and out of a garage .
