Hi, my 67 RS Convertible was delivered via GM France to Cambodia, so a little unusual. It is now in Australia and I'm reassembling following completion of body and paint. I've been able to source most of what I need from suppliers in the US, however I can't find any information the "Custom Chevrolet" badge on the dash above the glove box. It is diecast alloy and is a bit pitted, so I'd like to replace it with a new one if they are available. Appreciate if anyone can tell be what the badge signifies and how many Camaro's would have been fitted with the badge, as well as any advice on where I may be able to get a new one.
Thanks.

That looks like a badge from a Custom Chevrolet Truck fender.

I found something similar and it was a glovebox emblem from a chevy truck.
-
I agree. That appears to be a 60's or early 70's (?) truck emblem on the same vein as the ones pictured below. I'm not up on trucks but maybe someone else on the forum is and can narrow it down for you.

That emblem does not belong anywhere on a camaro. ??? Its a 60-70 truck emblem.

That's a 1973 through 1976 chevy truck dash emblem ....you can purchase it from local gm dealer however it's not original to your car.
-
How much do those vintage emblems cost?

Thanks. I think it is unlikely anyone would have been able to locate these in Cambodia during that period but possible I guess. Even less likely that they would have gone to the trouble of fitting it. Interested to hear if any other export cars had these. The car does have a custom interior so is it out of the question that the factory might have put them on cars destined for export?
Thanks again.

Yes, it's out of the question. That emblem was placed on the car after it left the factory.

The emblem wasn't even designed when the car was built....
-
Yep, definitely not original to the car.
Have you posted more information about the car on this site before? If not, I would like to hear more about it.
