New car introduction was a big deal back then. I remember very well when Bonanza ran the whole show without commercials so they had about 10 or 12 minutes at the end to show off the new models.

One of my friends, same age as I (18 at the time just beginning college) came to church one day with a new '67 SS350 identical to the one in the video (he didn't work, so it was purchased for him by his parents).. and I was SO VERY ENVIOUS! :)
(my dad purchased a '58 Plymouth Plaza - flathead 6- 3 on the tree for my 'drive to college car!)... ugh...

My friend purchased the same car from the original owner in 1976. Butternut yellow with black top, 350 SS, with SS hubcaps. Except his was an automatic on the column with a bench seat. Was destroyed shortly thereafter by a drunk who broadsided it. It must have been an early car, because I distinctly remember the SS 350 gas cap. I think that gas cap was superceded when the big block SS came out.

The one in the video appears to not have the 350 emblem on the lower front fenders. Were any others built like that?
