Title: '69 console mounted 8 track player
Post by: Randy Shanks on December 01, 2017, 03:26:53 PM
I have a '69 SS 396 convertible. When I ordered this car I got the console mounted 8 track player.
I have looked everywhere to find info on this unit to no avail. I guess they where not very common, but I know it was a factory option.
I would like to find a wiring diagram and any other info available.
Also where it might be repaired.
Thanks
Randy

Most of the information you need is in the AIM (RPO U57). If you need info on the tape deck itself, your best bet would be to find a SAM'S PHOTOFACTS for that particular model (7307821).

Thanks bertfam for the info.
I have the AIM but there is no schematic I have found, although I will look again.
I will also check Sams photofacts.
Thanks again for the info.

Schematic is in the radio manual.
