is this correct for my 68

5691676 is the correct PS box for a First Generation Camaro (among other years and cars). 298 is the Julian date (October 24th) so it depends on when your car was built.

So once again it is correct-I just loving researching this car as I am restoring it

Frank, there will also be another set of numbers stamped on the aluminum upper housing. Again, a Julian date but also the year. In your case, it would be something like "300 7". This is the date the gear was actually assembled.
