Title: Can-am Engine Blocks
Post by: NickF on November 14, 2017, 12:29:01 AM
Hello there! New to the board, and I have a part that I'm not sure what to do with. I have an engine block that was produced for the Maclaren race team in the late 60's or early 70's. It is a Reynolds aluminum block with a casting number 6272785... kind of a unique looking block and it's standard bore, but after reading a little about them I don't want to possibly render it useless by sleeving it.
Does anybody want this thing, or maybe someone could point me in a direction of someone that would want it?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

A complete engine built from a 6272785 block was recently sold:

Best market for it is probably vintage racing.

Here are a couple of pictures of the block... it hasn't been cleaned, so it is a bit dusty...
