Sold at B-J AZ 2009 for $77,000. Was at Mecum Indy last month, did not meet reserve.
Tonawanda records show 182 ZL1 engines built in 4 production configurations.

I am surprised it went for 77. I have seen nicer ones for sale for less money.

Could be. Lately that's about all they sell for at the major auctions.
COPO clones [including L72] are common at auction, over 100 sold over the last 10 years. Not the big deal they once were. Some of them are very well-done and can be a great buy.

I have no complaints about this car. It was well done and as a matter of fact has all the features in one I would want. Not willing to pay that price though.
