VIN puts final assembly on or about October 11, 1968. Body tag is from a car built late September 1969. Based on the ugly rivets, the body tag has been off the car. Better verify the hidden VINs.

Those rivets do look nice.

I can't decide whether I like the rivets or the long tail pipes more....
-
How about the front drum brakes with no power booster???
-
My 68 SS had non-power drum front brakes.

Maybe in 1968, but I don't believe 1969 SS cars could be bought with drum brakes. Power disc was standard.
