Did the 69 coupe have a place to store or secure the buckle end of the shoulder belt ?

You mean the male buckle like in the picture below? (Picture is from a 68, but 69 is the same)

They slide onto the bracket inside the console. See photo below...

If you have the console, the lap belts (female receptacles) attach to clips in the console (as shown above) and the shoulder belts (female receptacles) just sit on the floor. If you DON'T have a console, all 4 receptacles just sit on the floor when not in use.

The female shoulder belt buckles lay on the floor whether there is a console or not. Correct? I have a console and I thought I remembered the seat belt female buckle going into the clips in the console when I drove this car 30 years ago. I am glad that I remembered something correctly. I hadn't used the shoulder belts then, only the seat belts. Thank you for the information and the picture. That makes it clearly understood.
