You know, I have been a longtime supporter of HBC. 90% of my parts come from him. This kind of crap is just bad business.

Good to know.  I buy a lot from them too.

Other than some hood springs that wouldn't hold the hood up properly, I've been pretty happy with their service.  However, maybe I don't know when I'm being swindled, as I always try for the "Made in USA" parts whenever I can.

Thanks for the info.

I had a very bad experience with a part supplied by them, it was wrong and it was junk. Was treated rudely by a representative and the owner. I will NEVER purchase from them again.

I have heard many complaints about HBC, Having said that, I always supported them. I have never had a problem until now. I'm starting to think I was lucky.

Yes Donny, you were lucky. He's been a liar for a long time. And he still gets his foolish cheerleaders. They must enjoy getting railed. He doesn't even have the common courtesy to use Vaseline...

Here's a link to the thread I started:

I'm glad you're bringing your experience up. It's pretty sad that people allow him to get away with it and continue on like it's ok.

You all realize that there is nothing legally wrong with that sticker...

Don't care whether he's skirting the law in one way or another. He's a scumbag for doing and should be called out.

Thats not what I said...  I am not supporting anyone as I dont care one way or the other as I do not, have not & will not buy from him..  POINT of my comment is that if you are gonna try to get him legally you will have to find another way as that sticker will not support the claim as it does not say any where on it that the part was MADE in the USA..  It just says USA..  Like it or not; I dont care, it sucks but it is what it is..

Might not be legally wrong but its wrong! Wrong because its not what one purchased and when found not receiving the total recoup on money and then to top it off its a store credit. Easy to note three things wrong with that purchase.

Easy there Darrell. Didn't say you were supporting him. Most of his stickers did say Made in the USA though. My understanding is that's illegal.

lol Dave I am beyond easy...  So your comment is silly..  But again to my point....  This sticker is not legally wrong..  And Chick I agree but you still have to understand what I am saying... I never said it was morally anything..  I have no dog in the fight so this will be my last comment in this thread..  I merely was trying to help by acknowledging the fact that the sticker isnt the problem..  Just like your sticker.  It says USA made.  The bigger issue is not the sticker itself..  Its the fact the made in Taiwan was covered up..

I would like to point out the on-line ad clearly states Made in the USA with part# BDY-1588. Legally ?? Really ??

Perhaps just the sticker with the website part # on it was made in the USA, and this is how the vendor dodges the issue  ::)
I'm surprised at HBC for repeating this. Have spent many $$ over the years with that company and always paid extra for the USA version where available (although I'm not made in USA myself, or a resident, but I want to support the domestic market and keep my American car as American as possible.....).
