If this is the same one that popped up here locally on CL a couple of years ago, it's about 30 miles from me in Murfreesboro, TN - if I remember correctly, it's got a casting date of late '69 or '70, legit from what I saw, but a service engine (OTC) if I remember. I still have some additional pics around, be glad to share them if I can locate them. Hefty price tag, to be sure - but way cool.

Yes, I talked to them at the time also Steve... but didn't they also have NOS heads as well? I had photos, but I looked recently and couldn't find them...
Many ZL-1 engines were purchased via the service department; I knew several people who bought them for Road Racing Camaros and Corvettes in the 70's...

What would one do with this block after buying it? Would seem more like buying a gold ingot than a performance part for use.
