Title: 1969 Feature car
Post by: Kelley W King on January 31, 2017, 09:13:43 PM
It says the car was bought new at a Chapel Hill NC dealer. Having been living in Durham NC all my life, which the city limits of meet Chapel Hill now, I know that the dealer would be Harris Conners Cheverolet which is now a BMW and others dealer. If the owner has names but no contact if he wants to PM me I may know some of them. A couple good friends worked at Harris Conner and the street race guys around here were a pretty tight group. Harris Conner was the only Chevy dealer in Chapel Hill which was and still is a small college town, home of UNC Chapel Hill from which the color " Carolina Blue " originated because it is the team color.
I also think I remember the car.

I think "Duke Blue" is a better color! ;)

Go Blue Devils! :)

It is an on going battle here. My company works at both universitys. You will be escorted off either campus for wearing the others colors. It is serious here. Tickets to the Duke ,Carolina basketball games are serious gold.

Kelley, I think if you could find out any other information other than past owners (Charles has that info) that would be great. Or if any docs exist, that would be even better!

The lady that did Harris Conners paperwork still lives in Durham. Her son is a friend. She might know someone who knows if their papers still exist. I will check.
