I think he does as I just sent him something for it. Was surprised JerryM stated in his report "correct dip stick is needed for the engine, should have round handle with gray tip."  Hopefully he will add info as it becomes available but good luck Danny!

I don't think another person will put as much time/energy/passion into that car, like Danny has. I wish him the best, but he really showed what a Camaro enthusiast is with how he broke that car down by all the parts and numbers.
The description on ebay of the car is just ridiculous. I think the only thing he left off was the names of the assembly line workers who put the car together. ;D

So why the sale?

It is my understanding that with his dad in poor health, that the money from the sale of the car could be used elsewhere.

Guys I am out of the loop right now, and have not posted much in the last year if at all. Helping NEW owner to sell. Car still in our garage. It's a LONG and complicated story. Since my Fathers passing last Valentine's Day, SO much has happened.. My Health, Missed work from June 18th to November 20th due to severe nerve damage in my left shoulder. My left hand locked up would not function. Income and property Taxes have now fallen on my sister and I, Insurance, current and past Medical bills, a place to live, the list goes on and on. It's the game of life. Sold 6 guitars and LOTS of other items I thought I would NEVER sell. 2016 was one of the worst years of my life.... I will explain someday. My hearts just not in it right now to go into it all.. And I don't wanna take up valuable space on CRG for my personal life BS. I have already taken enough as it is… Hope you all understand.

SO sorry to here of JohnZ's health. That guy is a machine. I hope he pulls right thru and comes back to CRG in the coming days... Danny

If I remember, I will ask Jerry about this today.  I think there were two types, and what is on the car now seems correct to me.

Chick,
My car is a week later 06A and it has the original flat handle with the gray plastic tip....100% original to the car!

Yes Byron I agree and reason for my comment as I've looked at four 68 survivors with the same dipstick and they ranged from Dec. 67 to July 68.  And now Dave just added his 06A survivor and that car is another very complete car. For everyone this type of dipstick that was on Danny's and found on several others.

Actual dipstick on Danny's and another 68Z survivor at MCACN 2015.

Not sure of the circumstances, but I thought a car like Danny's would do a lot better at a Barrett jackson auction or something similar.

Barrett Jackson, attracts many looking for eye candy. Although it didn't  "sell" I had a few very interested buyers call me. Ebay provides great exposure for minimal cost. I'm confident it will sell shortly.

With Barrett-Jackson having a no reserve that's the last place I'd be running it across the floor.

well I have seen many real cars do well at BJ, and with all the docs I thought you would have real buyers there. But I see what you are saying, as far as risk goes.
Plus it bid up to 40k and the reserve wasn't met so I don't know how much Danny's buyer has into it, (Danny is helping him sell it I believe). So maybe he has 45k-55k in it? and needs to get that out of it.

So now I'm confused? Danny sold to Steve, and now Steve is selling? Or Steve is helping Danny? Or?
