Title: Caveat Emptor...beware the carefully worded ad again
Post by: william on January 12, 2017, 07:21:40 PM
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-Z-10-RS-SS-/112266554302?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1a239babbe:g:ofcAAOSwnHZYc~UU&item=112266554302

It's a Z10 being advertised as having a "period-correct" 396 engine and M21 4-speed. While there is no mention of paperwork, an obviously reproduction window sticker [plenty of errors] is in the photo array and lists an L34 350hp 396 and M21 trans.

There is no claim in the ad this is an original 396 Z10. Assume at your own risk.

Not trying to point out what's wrong with this car, but what's up with the clear tape?  It's on the top radiator hose, the rear edges of the door panels, and appears to be over the signature on the glove box door.  Maybe even on the air cleaner snorkel.  Interesting, looks to be an attempt to protect these parts.

Yes they do.
FWIW There were VERY FEW L34 and L35's which were equipped with temp controlled clutch fans when they were built, setting aside A/C cars of course.

It isn't. It was a L48 350 car originally. Grew a 396 many years ago.
It's not the same as the one Paul linked to.
