Title: Built for export values
Post by: Geoffg on December 19, 2016, 08:39:10 PM
Hey, I have a 69 SS/RS built in Van Nuys and shipped to Tokyo. It's back in the USA now. Is there any value added because of the built for export aspect of it?

Does it have an export body tag?

I'm not sure if it has an export tag, but the metal tags are in Japanese and the speedometer is in kilometers

X3! Very interested in the body tags/plates, also sounds like a U18 metric speedometer, unless converted locally in Japan from a standard MPH unit.

I have a friend here in New Zealand that imported a 68RSSS from Japan, all matching numbers with the export body plate. It doesnt have the federal regulations spiel on it it has wording about magic mirrror paint. Its Seafrost Green with KMh original speedo fold down rear seat, whizzy windows, AC, U17 guage package.
A very orignal optioned car.
It has been stripped and rebuilt and has been sitting in primer for a while now waiting for colour to go on.

Wayne that's great.

Would be best to start a new thread on that car, but PLEASE post up some pics on it.

Thanks!
