Yea, years ago when we went there we flew over my wife's BD and we lost a day so she always said she is a year younger. Love AUS and NewZ and down under people are great. HB Tim and good on ya!

Thanks everyone, what a surprise and an honor to get a mention. Definitely a year older, not so sure about the wiser...... although thanks to everyone here the education process is always ongoing and enjoyable.
And yes, the time zone difference can get confusing - especially when travelling across the international date line - but I like to think it means I get to celebrate over 2 days!

... speaking of the International date line...  :)

I still have my father's Naval Christmas Dinner Menu from 25 Dec 1945 that he kept on his return from the Pacific...  He told me they had Christmas Dinner two straight days on that voyage as they crossed the International Date Line;  the first day's menu was printed in red on one side, and the second day's Christmas dinner menu was printed in green on the back... :)   It also listed all the ship's officers...
