Just yanked out and cleaned up the rear axle form my '67 convertible. It is coded BP 0425 G whihc matches the POP I have for the car. My problem is that I cannot find BP as a code for '67 rear axles in a camaro...at least not in colvins book or this site. Any thoughts?

For 67 the BP suffix was a 3.08 open 10 bolt. Not listed in most books (including Colvin's), but it has been verified as used on 67's.

Thanks Ed. I wonder why the BP code for '67 is not commonly referenced? I even ended up over at Camaros.net after posting and didn't find it there either. Out of curiousity how did you happen by it?

It's been discussed several times, but no one has any idea on just WHY it's been left off the 67 specs. It's another one of those Camaro abnormalities we see so often!

It's the only axle code that's been observed and doesn't show up in *any* documentation.
It came out mid-year 67 and I can't see how it's different than the PA axle.
