I had 2 sets of old stops and did not note any yellow paint when I was reviewing for possible use.
-
I have a set of NOS ones somewhere. If i get a chance I will dig them out and look for the paint stripe.
-
OK, I have two sets NOS. All have the number 402410 cast in.
One set the yellow stripe is a bit wider than the other, but other than that, no difference.
Do you want pics?
-
sure that would be great thanks

no we hate pics.... :o ;D

Is this the same part as being discussed? (I do like pix!).. :)

Has to be what he is talking about. I'm re-using my OE's. As much as I'd like to use a little more of the inspection paint I bought, did not find any yellow paint on mine. Mine is an April 68, maybe different?

" Everybody likes a little @#$, nobody likes a smart one !" LOL, just teasing!

Good point.
Also, nobody likes a dumb one either.... ;D
wish I could contribute to the topic, but mine are coated with undercoating.
-
Trying, but apparently even after dumbing the pics down twice, file is still too large.
-
Again.

Gary I wonder if yours are original, maybe they are assembly line correct with the extra number cast in the side?

When I rebuilt my front end, I *believed* these bump stops were factory original, thus I left them in place (even with a few cracks)...

Gary's are what I've noted as assembly line correct. Later service replacements did not have the part # embossed but not sure when that changed. As stated earlier I have not noted any yellow paint on my originals or some service replacements I had. Did not note any on Skip's 69 Orange Z/28 Survivor when we had it lifted and reviewed and looked for any paint markings, etc.
This is a picture of one of our originals, 1968 01B Z/28

I would agree. I believe the ones I posted are NOS over the counter, but the ones on Gary's car are assembly line correct originals.
