Title: Tilt steering column
Post by: hrlyfxdl on September 23, 2016, 03:26:08 PM
Can anyone provide me with pics of what the tilt steering release lever, turn signal lever and emergency flasher knob lock like original in a 1968 camaro, floor shift? I am replacing my non-tilt with a tilt and it didn't come with any of the levers. There are so many variations for sale online I'm not sure which is correct (they all say original reproduction). I couldn't find a string that showed that type of detail. Thanks.

When you hear the term 'original reproduction', what that means is that the part is someone's *attempt* to reproduce the factory part.   THere are many aspects to their 'attempt'... materials, processes, appearance, function, etc...

Some of these attempts are very poor, a few are 'pretty good', but NONE are 'perfect'...  you should keep that in mind, and examine as many *original cars/parts* as possible before making your determination.

Perfect Ed, thank you for the pics. It helps me to as least find correct looking replacements.
