According to Gardner and late Z (09D) would have the resonators and transverse muffler.
Waldron exhaust claims that Z28s did not get the resonators.
I've seen a magazine image of a ZL1 test car with resonators and transverse muffler so i don't think "hi-perf" cars were "resonator exempt"
can anyone answer with certainty?
Thanks

Absolutely 100% Yes. The GM service technical bulletin dated April 15, 1969 tells all about it.
Search this forum for Resonator's on Z/28's. There's at least three good reads on this, and copies of the bulletin!

Bryan, just did a search and it comes up with nothing :(

nevermind - this moron doesn't know ow to use the search function

too bad gardner doesn't make an Empty resonator shell - just so it looks correct but doesn't cork the exhaust down even more :(

It hasn't been that long ago, that I saw that D&R Classic had a repop of the resonator. I think it was aluminized and how correct, I don't know. I guess my slow to get something done ass should check on them too!

Recall Letter dated Aug 22 1969 stating the dates of all 3 Z28 exhaust systems.
