Title: 1968 Camaro Seats
Post by: JBall on May 24, 2016, 07:06:15 PM
Hello,

I have located the original seats for my 1968 Camaro. The current owner has offered to give me the seats at N/C as long as I pay shipping. Does anyone know what a standard 1968 Camaro seat weighs?

Thanks,

Jason Ball

Think about asking him to strap the two seats to a pallet and shipping by truck; strap the seat bottoms down, then lay down the seat backs across the bottoms and strap those down so they don't move...  Might take a little longer to get them, and probably would need to pick them up at a local shipping point, but would undoubtedly be less expensive than buying two '68 bucket seats. (weight don't matter as much when shipping this way).

I can try to get a weight for you Wednesday.  From carrying them around at swap meets before I guess about 35-40 pounds - but just a guess.

How far away are they?

Ok, Thanks!

They are in Wisconsin and I'm in Cincinnati.

Just weighed a 68 Deluxe seat without headrest and a 69 Standard seat with headrest.

They were ABOUT 45 pounds, each.

Thanks! That helps.

Appreciate your help. Will you be at the Camaro Nationals in a few weeks?
