Title: Curious as to where one old T/A ended up?
Post by: hubleyman on March 22, 2016, 02:50:30 PM
This is just a curiosity question for you Trans Am enthusiasts on board here…

Does anyone recall a 1969 Camaro Z/28 T/A race car that was for sale in the Willows, Ca area around the late 80’s?

An acquaintance of mine, Jerry W, had the car for sale for $10K and I was interested in it, but I thought it was too expensive at the time.  It was a running car that had been raced for many years after the early series, so it had been upgraded and modified in many ways.  I didn’t buy the car, but I did buy a bunch of well used 302 parts from him…

I don’t recall any details about the car, not even the color to be honest.  But I do remember he had actual movies of the car racing in its early days which would have showed who’s car it was, paint colors, etc.

Just wondering if this small piece of history rings a bell with anyone. I always wondered what happened to that car.

I don't know anything about it, Charlie.

Maybe somebody else here does?
