I received a vinyl top from Rick's Camaros (Ecklers) and it was too short, front to back. I wondered if the top was cut for '67 or '68, but since I don't have access to either, perhaps someone on here can help. To top it off, they won't take it back because they have a 90 day return policy (and I accumulated several parts in advance). Even if they made the mistake. So I am stuck with a top that doesn't fit.
If I can find out if it is correct for another year I'll post it for sale on ebay. Otherwise, I'm up the proverbial creek....

67-69 roof skins are the same. They should eat it. I will not deal with anyone with policies like that. It is an improperly manufactured product. How far beyond 90 days?

More than a year. I went by my bodyshop's BOM list and ordered most parts well in advance

Even if it is more than a year. These companies know people are buying the parts for restorations that can take significant time before the part actually gets installed. If you're just returning it because you ordered the wrong part or just don't want it that's one thing. Manufacturing defect like cut too short? Accept the return. No exception policies like this tell a lot about the company. Have you tried the manufacturer of the product itself instead of the re-seller?

No, I have not. I considered buying a second top, then return the short one. Then sell the second (hopefully good, correctly cut new top) on ebay.

My 68 vinyl top is 90 inches from the outside of the windshield trim middle to the outside of the rear deck trim middle. So front to back it would be at least 90 plus triming material. Hope this helps.
How short is yours?

Thanks for the measurement. I've got a pic somewhere showing this length. If I can't find it, I'll unroll it and measure again. For some reason, I was thinking the top was either shorter on '67-'68's or the trim possibly differed. Seems they were listed separately (from '69) in some catalogs. Thanks again, I'll post when I get home tonight.
