Title: 6.0 LS 72 blazer
Post by: X33RS on February 04, 2016, 11:14:34 PM
Since we seem to be discussing other things I'll throw one in the mix for giggles.  Hopefully I don't get banned for non Camaro stuff.   Well technically there is a Camaro in the video that doesn't fare too well.
This is my 72 Blazer 4x4.  I did a 6.0 LQ4 swap in this one, I built the 4L60E behind it, installed 3.73's and run 33" tires on it.  Engine is stock with my custom SD tune in it.  It ran so good I just had to take it to the track.  I'm racing a (brand new at the time) 2010 SS Camaro and left him scratching his head.  Boy did he get razzed in the pits after this race  ;D

If this isn't beyond the rules, I'll post the dyno session for the 571 cubed Pontiac Tony Bischoff built for my father.

Nice blazer! What time did you run? Couldn't see it in the video. Would like put an LQ4 in my '68 C-10 but will probably end up with an LM7 since they are more plentiful and cheaper.

Best it went was 14.30 as I pushed the launch little by little.  The truck had a tendency to snap the pinion on the rear diff clean off, did that twice on the street playing around with it so I was sneaking up on it, after several runs I decided I didn't want to push my luck anymore so I could make the 100 mile drive back home.  Truck weighs 5200 lbs. with me in it.

There's the "F" brand being discussed elsewhere on the forum, so there'd better not be a problem bringing up your Blazer!! Personally, I like 'em! And '67-'72 is my fav Chevy truck body style, if anybody wonders (and my birthday is this month *hint, hint*)
