Who is keeping track of the numbers now that Ed no longer does? Now that I'm in the process of reassembly(when I can),I'm continuing to document. Last I was emailing them out to him.
-
I've been e-mailing the information to Ed also. I didn't know he wasn't keeping track of numbers. Maybe I'm wrong...Joe

I thought there was a falling out of sorts and he was no longer doing it, but I could very well be mistaken. I'll shoot him an email this weekend. If he didn't tell you otherwise, I guess it can be assumed he's still involved with it.
-
What numbers are you referring to?

Definitely not a "falling out", and I won't go into it, but let's just say because of my crappy personal life, I'm currently taking a break from the hobby.
I think Bryon or Steve is doing the 68 database right now if I remember correctly.

Bryon is doing the 68 data entry. Daniel does the 67. I do the 69.
I handle the integration of all the data and general upkeep of the db.
-
Kurt,
What type of data do they collect or need as input?
Just curious.

Sorry I didn't reply: I sent him heads-block-wheels-glass-seatbelt, etc.. part numbers/date codes. I have all five original tires, so that I guess was a plus comparing to the car's build date. Side marker bezels have a number also. You name it. I'm documenting my own car, if they have an interest, I'll send a pic in.
-
Ahh.....I see now.
That's good to know. If I decided to restore my original 67 then I'll document every square inch. The paint is so badly dried and crazed on the horizontal surfaces that I may just repaint it at this point.
Thanks Janobyte!

The CRG database has 17,000+ vehicles in it with data gathered from many different sources - cars, documentation, orphaned engine/trans, forum posts, data submitted, ebay, etc.
It was designed from the beginning as a research tool - gotta have data if you are going to have facts to base research on. There are no plans to ever make it publicly searchable/available. The confidentiality of the db is a key feature that has resulted in data being submitted that otherwise would not be available. The data results from the db appear throughout the website - paint percentages, research articles, etc.
20,000+ vehicles now, btw.
