I read in the seat belt report where the tag information is different from the 1968 to the 1969 seat belts, but the dimensions or differences between the two is not addressed. I am going from memory that technically, the length, width and mounting is the same on the front lap & shoulder belts. I did not find anything in a search. A friend wants a set of shoulder belts for his 68. I am under the impression that the 68-9 are the same except for the tag information. If he is not particular, will these 2 years interchange? Can someone confirm this?
Would like to know if all of the belts or which ones are dimensionaly the same, but specifically the shoulder belts to answer this question.

Let me see what I can find out.

Kurt wrote the seat belt report. I will ask him.
I read the report and it seems they would work.
But it have never used 69 belts in a 68 - and I don't know anyone that has.

Pretty sure 68 & 9 belts will interchange.. The 7s are the odd balls with the change of the anchors. Of course the standard vs deluxe are different as well. Also early 8's didnt have shoulder belts vs later 8s & 9s did.

Thanks, 1969Z27. I believe that will answer my question. I need to remember to post dimensions for 69 for future one's needing to know.
