I'm new. And thinking CRG page on 1969 model id is incorrect on MC1 Muncie 3 speed transmission speedometer cable location on firewall. Can someone tell me how to contact a moderator of CRG to try and remedy this situation. Thanks.

Why do you think it is wrong?

My Camaro is L48/MC1 both #'s matching. Speedo cable is opposite of CRG 69 model id. And AIM agrees with my Camaro.

With every post you, and any one of us make on here, there is a place on your right side of all posts that says, "report to moderator". Easiest way or at the top Rt hand corner of this page is a message from Kurt (Sonnen) that he provides an email address.

Thanks. kol-lec tor. I just sent message.

I wonder how many original MC1's are out there?

According to the RPO spreadsheet, only 3,079 cars had MC1 originally in '69, so doubt many survive.

Post a picture of what your car has for speedometer cable location on the firewall.
This site has several moderators. Kurt is the coordinator and webmaster in addition to being a moderator.

Bryon, the OP has already posted about the issue, including pictures of his car:

Per CRG table identified as "1969 Camaro V8 Visible Differences", the Speedometer Cable Firewall Penetration is identified as right (M20, M21) or left (MC1,M40) of steering column for all engine combinations, including the V8 entries.
Per "note 4, 6477216 SPEEDO CABLE - Installs same as RPO M20 with RPO M20 with RPO L34, L35, L48, L78, and LM1."
It seems logical that if the speedo cable into the transmission is on the LEFT side, then the hole left of the steering column is used, and if the speedo cable entry to the transmission is on the right, then the alternate (MUNCIE) hole is used?
It's interesting that apparently the dwg shown in the AIM depicts a transmission with speedo cable entering on the LEFT (stock drawing?).. and perhaps this misleading AIM dwg is why the CRG has the apparent error in the table?

I have an original L48 MC1 car. I'll provide some pics...

It's good to hear from you. Could you include pic of firewall and speedometer cable please?
