Hey guys... new member here and I need some expertise. I was given this car when I was a youngster and have just now finally put it back in my garage after about 8 years of it sitting in storage. I want to find out more about the car from when it was built and also see what I can find about the motor. I am fairly confident I have figured out the VIN and Cowl Tag information but the motor stamping I can get to has me baffled.
What I think I know...
1967 Camaro Sport Coupe
Originally came in Gold/Gold configuration without Vinyl top
Standard buckets
A/C car
Here are the pictures of the VIN, Cowl Tag, Block front markings, and the back markings that are covered by the throttle linkage (which seems wrong but I have no idea)

So the motor code on the front has me baffled.... I cant find a consistent answer of what the HC is for. This website shows it could be from a 1969 350 Camaro and other sites say 1965/1967 327.
Any help you guys can give me would be awesome. I just want to be as familiar with the original vehicle before I start ripping in and making it mine.
Obligatory car picture!!!

Your engine is out of a 1967 passenger car,327/275 hp with pg transmission.

Yup, the partial VIN (7R165929) stamped on the engine pad tells you the engine came out of a '67 Bel Air, Biscayne, Caprice or Impala.

Awesome. So what are the tells for knowing it's a 327/275? Is it the HC? What list can be trusted when it comes to that information. It seemed like every website out there had conflicting info.

The partial VIN, the engine suffix code (HC), the block casting number, and the block casting date.
