is there much of away to tell if 68 camaro is true L78 without motor

What is the code stamped on the front part of the rear axle on the passenger side, and how does it compare to the car assembly date?
Which transmission?
Does it have the correct transmission cross member, correct radiator? These are not definitive, but will add to the possible evidence of proving what it was.
Do you have any pics you can post?

I believe he is referring to the oil pressure line grommet per his photo with his notations...

Also, in the above photo, isn't that an automatic transmission steering column?

I looked at the pics. OUCH!
It's going to probably take someone local to handle all three cars.
Find out if the 12 bolt is original and what the axle code and date is.

car has a 10 bolt in it now i talked to the lady that has it previous owner took 12 bolt and engine out of car and interior

In my opinion, there is nothing there that proves it was an L78 car.
Price for the package is not bad, but there is a LOT of work to be done.

There is no proof from the pics that the car was even originally a big block car..
