Title: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z-10 RS/SS 396 4bbl
Post by: 69houdini on May 15, 2015, 05:18:42 PM
Hi Guys,

If there is one thing you taught me is to do my homework and research and now I need your second opinion on this car. Good or bad.

Thank you for your info.

Sure looks nice, I agree. Wrong upper alt. brkt. I am sure there is more if I had time to look. All that sparkles are not diamonds, and what is shiny is not always gold, I am confident you know this. I think you should have had someone look at the car if you were really serious. Now, there is less than a day till auction is over.
My concern is the seller's feedback of 96.5! I would be dubious and proceed with great caution.

I would never buy a car without looking at it in person first.

And maybe I missed them, but I did not see any pics of the engine, trans or axle stamps.

I'm going to see it as long as it"s not a recognized mess, I'm asking for stamps too.

OK, if you get the drivetrain stamped numbers that will help out.

I know someone that looked to buy it in 92, had been restored.
No VIN on block and engine date was 4-5 months before car.  In 2010, the block was T0428JI. Make you go hmm...

" Z10 production is estimated to be about 400 to 500 cars. "
And I'm pretty sure on that estimate.

I've never seen anyone else say that high. Most say 2-300.
