Title: 69 Hood bumper hardware - Front
Post by: RS_COPO_Canuck on April 22, 2015, 04:21:52 PM
Hi all. On my car... the bolts and hold down nuts are silver. Like the one in the pic. In the repro kit they look phos plated. Are both finishes acceptable? What is mostly found on original cars?  Thanks

I have never seen the hood bumper bolts/nuts finished like the above picture on original cars.

You have never seen them in silver zinc? The ones that come from AMK are phosphate. Thanks

You can purchase clear zinc (silver) but as Paul stated I never saw an original with zinc plated ones. You see that a lot on incorrect restored cars.
