Title: Copo Radiator - 4 Speed
Post by: RS_COPO_Canuck on March 23, 2015, 02:59:28 PM
Hi All. Have a question. According this site  http://www.camaros.org/coolingsystems.shtml#usage  the tanks on the Curved neck radiator should have "IO" on the Left side and "OO" on the right. The repro tanks I have seen offered are "IL" (left) and "OO" (right). Which is correct?
Thanks

C'mon now, that is why you joined this site, to get the facts. You can take CRGs info to the bank. It is right, IO&OO. And there are correct repro radiators available.

I know it says different, but description is wrong. Call HB and verify before you buy.

Yes - That is exactly why I joined this site.  :)  I wonder if their description on the side tanks only is a typo as well? I will call them....Thank you, as always for the reply. How are the reproduction complete radiators? I know an original one that needs to be done would be 2-3 times more.

I put one of the HBC radiators in the Blue 69 Z I did. The biggest issue is the dates on the fill side tank, I don't think there are very many if any different tank dates on the repros. IF the date lines up for yours it may be the best way to go. I didn't compare the repro to an original side by side however the harrison embossing is nice and crisp as are the tank codes.

Thanks - I think I found an original rad here in town.....but if it doesn't pan out I will call HBC and find out the date code they offer....as well as clarifying the tank numbers.... as one of them shown is incorrect....hopefully a typo.

The local rad was wrong so the hunt is back on. They (HBC) do have an original - date is kinda early.....cheap...only 4000.00. :)  Called them. Their re-pops do not have OO on the drivers side....and can take up to 6 months to get.

Anyone have one? :^)
