I'm planning on picking up a 67 AM/FM that was once connected to a Multiplex so the input plug has been removed from the bottom of the unit, will this fact not allow the radio to work right? Thanks for any help that can be given! :-)

Yes , you need a plug. That or the multiplex. The plug looks like a thimble with all the plugs to complete the circut and it also has a bracket attached that screws it to the radio chassis. Sorry, I can't remember how many pins are on a 67...

Really bad pic but it gives you an idea of the shape. I'll look and see if I have the part number.

I don't think Multiplex came out until 1968, btw.

There is one for sale on Yenko site seller: AMANOCC Good pics too.

Be sure to count the pins.....they are NOT all the same.

How many connections are there on the U57 stereo player speaker connector #6 ? Looks like there are only 6 in the AIM. AIM only shows 2 color wires #5 in the existing Fisher installed rear speaker wiring. Are rear speakers in series or one side body ground? Or have I missed something?

All Camaro rear deck speakers are grounded to the back of the seat support in the trunk. Only the + wire(s) are run back to the speakers from the head units.
-
Mark,
Would you know if the speaker wires that run from the head to the speakers are in a covering or are taped together?

Thanks guys! I decided to pass the unit on to a friend of mine that has a number of vintage delco parts. Kurt, the Multiplex was a Dealer Only job in 67!
