I have noticed many 68 Z28 owners on here and wandered if there is a current registry and a Place to discuss our cars and pictures of cars, restorations and specific parts. We are in a different group, not the super rare 67's or the 20,000 69's

Jerry has a 68 z/28 registry Check here http://www.1968z28.com/ You did mean the 602 67 z/28's and the NOW 50,000 69 z/28's

Your right, I was looking at pictures of Jerry's race car. He has the 67z/28 registry. I listed my 68 a long time ago.

I sent an E-mail today to Larry Eakin and asked if the site is still active or dormant. Will post status when and if I receive a reply.

This is the best site I have found. Unfortunately working 6 days a week does not allow me to start much of anything. I just finished a 69 for a friend. Building a rear for my 69 street car. And this nasty cold winter we are having. I have had my 68 over a year now and read as much as I can and check out all the restorations and survivor cars I can find. The info on here is rock solid an Kurt does a great job answering questions. But I have noticed there are quite a few owners on here and Yenko.net and see a gap that needs filled for us. Dan

I also sent an email asking to update the site

Larry had two really nice unrestored 68's a RS/Z28 Sea Frost Green and a RS/L78 Corvette Bronze that we certified in 2003 & 2004. The last contact I had with him he sold both cars and more or less was out of the hobby at that time. That was 8+ years ago. I will contact him and see if anything has changed.

His Z must be the one pictured on the home page of his registry...

Last updated 6/01/06.
A common problem with registries. They take time and effort.
The database is a defacto registry, but I don't have the time or interest in putting out reports of how many JL8's or 68Z's or COPO's are in what colors. Sorry.
I will say that all the Z10's are white. :)
About 400 68 Z's by the way.
-
If anyone is interested I can start adding the 68 Z's to my 68 L78 & L89 data. If that is something you want to do you can email me all the info along with pictures to cook_dw@hotmail "dot" com
I will say this if we can not confirm it is a real Z with stampings, photos and/or docs then I will not include it in the data.

Just received an answer from Larry and it says......
Jerry,
Thanks for the email. I have been collecting data but have not updated the webiste. I need to find a new webmaster to do that. I'm working on finding one.
Take care
Larry
So it appears Larry is still collecting the data but hasn't edited anything on the website.
