Title: Letters B & T stenciled on Cowl
Post by: 69OlympicGoldSS on October 28, 2006, 08:36:47 PM
On my 69 SS, adjacent to the cowl tag, are the letters "B" and "T" in Chevy Orange engine paint

Any idea what this is all about?

I also listed this question on the Team Camaro Forum.

clwilcox33 responded as follows:

"There should also be a P. They were stamps used by inspectors at the Fisher Body plant."

It's amazing how some of this ratty looking stuff, like these Chevy Orange letters, is factory original.
