Need help, I am about to reinstall my door glass that my body man disassembled without marking the parts. I have the Fisher Service Manual and cannot see where the 2 guide plates are attached. These are the rectangular plates with 2 holes that are covered with a nylon type fabric. There are two per door.
See pic below
Thanks in advance
Also I might need some help with which bolts go to which parts, such as the window regulator etc slowly figuring them out.

I used water proofed denim material to reface mine. The are attached to a metal edge behind the fuzzy strip (when looking from inside the car), by 2 small flat head phillips sheet metal screws. There should be one near exterior door handle and one forward. There will be two plastic bumps attached to window glass that ride against these, measure where those are to get the location on the door.

Thanks Kevin, much appreciated now I understand

BTW, I sell a great replacement fabric for these window guides.
Here is my Ebay link.

In the plant, those were called "boxing gloves". :)

FYI
Another good substitute for the black rub material for the front window guides that I have used often is black velcro ( the loop side that is thicker) 2 " works good.

The material looks very similar to "ballistic nylon fabric". Tough, but slick.
We use it extensively in Submarine repair work at the Public Naval Shipyards.
I really like the Velcro (Loop) idea
