Title: COPO?
Post by: 69Z28-RS on December 28, 2014, 03:25:39 PM
What's this car going to bring at auction?  Says it needs quarters, doors, and fenders.. so it must be LOTS more rusty now than in those early photos....?

" During my time with this car I have accumulated some parts  to be sold after the car and will be offered to the new owner first to assist in the future restoration."    ???? THAT, can mean anything.....

Ah yes, I saw that one too. I'd leave it as is and drive it like I stole it...providing the subframe doesn't fly out from the rust and torque, lol. A few good holeshots should loosen up what loose rust is there.

Yes..  the photos looked good, but after reading his other comments about 'needing panels', etc..  I determined those photos must be from 'years past'... :)  ..  and possibly he doesn't want to post 'current photos'.. *(ie. car hard to get to, etc)...

There was some reason there's a extra vin tag on it. I talked to someone once on it and it might have had rust there. Sounds like all the expensive parts are there. Automatic will hurt it some.

Very few of theses cars have not been "warmed over" decades ago.

Unfortunately for me no points for unmolested sheet metal and born with block, heads, rotating assembly, tires, ,exhaust  etc...---money is in leaking old 780's. and ER. alternators,  surface rust, LOL.   survivors

It's getting close to a finished value if restoration costs are taken into account.
Unless specifically looking for this combo... a White w/ Black int & column shift auto has limited appeal even if it is a born with drivetrain COPO.
