All,
I need to replace my rear seat, 67 Camaro RS. My dad found one out of a 68 Firebird that is in pretty solid shape. Will it interchange both in fit as well as upholstery?
Thanks,
Matt

Seats the same; upholstery is different. Assuming one is not a fold down and the other is. But you should be able to see that in the overall width.

Thanks a million.
Will be trashing the older upholstery anyway and putting the correct camaro covers on it.

There is a difference between rear seats of Coupe and Convertible,

Thanks a million! I did realize they were the same width, but did NOT realize they were different between coupe and convertible.
Thankfully these came out of a coupe!

RS option has nothing to do with seat width. Standard and deluxe interior rear seat widths are different on a '67. Deluxe, fold down and convertible are narrower.

I am pretty sure all Firebirds have the rear armrest/ashtray portion and are similar to the narrow convertible and 67 deluxe interiors. What's on your 67 now? Narrow or wide? Why don't you just replace the upholstery on your existing frame?

Realize that.
Meant Deluxe.
Do RS's come with standard? I have only seen Deluxe.
Mine has deluxe. The seat came out of a 68' Firebird coup with armrests.
I should be fine.
Traded straight across for some frame rails that I had from 10 years back so I am satisfied.

Standard interior came on every Camaro unless the customer ordered an optional Deluxe interior..
