Title: Headers - 427 (L72)
Post by: Matt69SS on December 01, 2014, 01:43:44 AM
I am looking to swap out the exhaust manifolds/chambered exhaust for headers/Flowmaster dual exhaust on my 427 (L72).

Any recommendations on a header to use? My engine setup is stock, and am worried about headers fitting by the power steering gearbox.

Thanks.

Hooker is still a good company (I used to work at Holley and was their tech rep for the Hooker & Flowtech lines).  I would also look into American Racing Headers.  They are great quality and I have installed several sets on 4th gen LS based Camaro & birds as well as Corvettes.  Biggest selling point for me is that they are 304SS.  The price is steep but you get a great quality header that will last.

See for yourself.
