Title: Charlotte New Car Show
Post by: lakeholme on November 22, 2014, 10:57:24 PM
Here's a picture of the 68 at the Charlotte New Car Show.  Our club displayed forty-some cars from 1914 to 1978 in a section called "The History of Cars".
That's a brand new restoration of a 442 parked next to me.  Beautiful car!
(Sorry about the glare in the picture.  Cars look great under the bright lights, but it makes for lousy pictures...)

Well, at the last minute I even had two extra tickets....  ::)
They didn't advertise this year like they have in the past, but there was a good crowd on Saturday.

Thanks.
Charlotte Auto Show
It is mostly a new car show put on by local dealers to stir up sales. Ford had the aluminum truck and Chevy their Trax, small SUV.
A few makes had classic cars with their new ones, including a beautiful 55 Cadillac convertible.
For the last few years there has been a "History of Cars" display. That's where we come in. Our club had cars from 1914 to the 70s. In years past there have been cars from Rick H's collection.
The show gives our club a large donation for bringing the old cars out, which goes to our scholarship foundation.
