Title: '68 Oil Fill Tube Breather
Post by: CamaroJLS on November 13, 2014, 02:15:05 AM
Hi Fellas,

I recently changed out my original stock 2bbl intake to a Edelbrock 4bbl on my '68 327. Switching over, caused me to lose the twist on cap on the end of the filler tube. The Edelbrock has a push on style, that in my opinion is JUNK. It keeps vibrating off, and bending the spring doesn't help. The tabs that hold the spring on are so thin, I can bend it with my fingers.

I'm reaching out to the experts! What are my options to replace the c(r)ap?

Swap the old oil fill tube and cap from the original stock manifold to the Edelbrock manifold - the hole is the same size.

I believe I would be tempted to install a repro '68 Z/SS350 chrome tube and twist on cap - always loved that look. Reasonably priced nowadays, sometimes -
