Title: Detail Help
Post by: Axlman on October 21, 2014, 06:15:00 AM
Hi All;
Looking to have someone send me a picture of the convertible switch as well as the nuts and bolts used to mount it if possible.
I have looked high and low for what hardware to use to secure it and cant find anything.
I have also gone through three switches from Classic in two years. I think we have it wired direct from the battery to the switch.
Any ideas on how to wire correctly?

much appreciated.

Ken

The wire that supplies current goes through a circuit breaker that is mounted on the firewall (under the hood, above the steering column). Refer to your AIM, upc C06 sheet A1, on page 142. If you don't have an AIM, there's a free download at the General discussion Forum - hope this helps. That page also shows the switch that you inquired about. If you need further info or pictures you can PM me, and I will try to help.

Thanks for the response sir.
We did try to use the circuit breaker but it wouldn't work for some reason. We were in a hurry at the time to leave for Chicago so we ran it direct if I remember correctly.
I will look at the AIM and get back at wiring it properly.
