Title: battery hold down bolt
Post by: janobyte on October 20, 2014, 06:34:01 PM
anybody have an extra one in the bin?
also looking for hood hinge to fender bolts. Hinge to hood were still in the hood luckily (32 years)  I believe they are the same as the hinge to fender.  Dropping the front clip tomorrow so back to it. Black phosphating in the near future so they don't have to be pretty. Just sound. Remember when these things used to be laying in the dirt at the junkyard? Whoda thunk?

shoot me an email---thanks,steve

Hi Steve,
The bolts in the hinge to the fender are different. Same type of bolt/thread size but with a different size conical washer. Instead of 1 inch they were 3/4". AIM IMO is incorrect as that is what I have observed on many survivors. Have that somewhere in my build thread. Here is a copy of what I have in my AIM. Sorry, do not have an extra battery hold down bolt as they are difficult to come by (correct ones).

Thanks ,literally just came in, my buddy who shot the Z came over and we removed the front clip. He diagrams everything and utilizes letters to designate the fastener locations. So we just had the conversation what's needed. My hold down strap is in good shape. ( dimples and all)
