Hi All,
This one probably my 12th.
First Z28, but unfortunately it is just a roller.
My original search was for a shell that could be used as another PT Build based upon a Chassisworks Gstreet full frame, TT LSX, 6060, full floater 9 inch.
Very hesitant to cut out the entire floor with this one since it appears to be a correct X77 D80.
Should I attempt a restoration, just stab in something to drive it until the proper drivetrain can be located or sell it as is to someone that can do the work correctly?
The protouring boards are of one opinion, sure you gentlemen (and ladies if any) have another.

Welcome, can you post some pictures of the roller including the trim tag and VIN tag? How rusty is it? Any key Z/28 components left, such as the 12 bolt rear, multi leaf springs? I noticed you also posted over on Team Camaro. You will get lots of good advice and opinions with some good pictures.

posted the trim tag on c.net
Hopefully this is the car shot, again ignore the fat, bald old guy (me)

Welcome aboard. In the end it's your car to do with as you please. I would be real hesitant to cutting out the floor pan route. Remember that the original drivetrain may never be located, so I would go the route of restoring it and putting in a period correct drivetrain.

Very nice! I would hope to keep/restore/or sell that one as much original as possible! Now a 6-cyl or plain jane, even though we love them just as much, more fair game for going as crazy as you want. IMO, hard to see a special one cut up...kind of a downgrade. But a plain grocery getter, especially without the originals, now you're talkin!

Restore it!
I have GM qtrs. hanging I the garage for just such a car!
Find a 307 to PT.
Good Luck

If your plans are to buried in it, have fun and do it the way you want it. A couple of thoughts though: If you got the car body for a steal, you may be able to sell it to a guy who would appreciate the X77 body enough to pay extra and restore it stock, with the money you make from the sale you could get a base camaro body and use the proceeds to pay for a lot of you PT plans. Or you could restore it stock, get it out of your system, and then sell it for a done PT car or build your own.
My question is: The white 69 next to, is it a original Z as well?

I agree verbatim with Bullitt.
